Safety, Weather and AI

1. Intended use

XCInsight supports post-flight learning and indicative planning. The Android and iOS LIVE apps are beta; they are not certified flight instruments, navigation, emergency systems or official aviation briefings.

2. Weather and source data

Forecasts are model data. Wind, gusts, clouds and thermal potential can differ from actual local conditions. A readiness result or agreement between models does not grant launch clearance or confirm safety.

Takeoff locations, obstacles, airspace and terrain can be outdated or incomplete. Verify current rules, NOTAMs, permissions and local conditions through authoritative sources.

3. GPS, barometer and AGL

Sensors can be inaccurate or delayed. Barometric climb does not prove the presence of a thermal. Approximate AGL derived from GPS and terrain is not measured clearance from trees, power lines or other obstacles.

A missing alert or empty layer means unknown or unavailable information. Do not treat it as evidence of clear or safe airspace.

4. AI output

AI debriefs, weather text and optional LIVE observations can be incomplete, incorrect or misleading. AI does not know every condition, pilot action or level of fatigue and cannot authorise a manoeuvre. Outputs are marked as AI assisted.

5. Responsible use and reports

During flight, focus on control and your surroundings. Follow your training and use suitable independent instruments and information. The pilot makes operational decisions.

Report faults or concerning output to the contact email with a flight reference and explanation. Do not expose private tracks or sensitive diagnostics in a public report.
