Cookies and Storage

1. Sessions and security

Login sessions, CSRF protection, selected language and privacy-choice records support secure requested features. The usual session inactivity period is 120 minutes; choosing a remember-me option may keep you signed in longer.

2. Preferences

An explicitly selected theme is kept in sessionStorage as xcinsight-theme-session while the tab is open, so navigation keeps the same appearance. Allowing Preferences also saves it in localStorage as xcinsight-theme for future visits. The xcinsight-consent-v1 entry records your privacy choice; permanent entries remain until changed or deleted in the browser.

Open Cookie settings in the footer at any time. Disabling Preferences removes the permanently saved theme; the current choice remains while the tab is open. Refusing optional storage does not prevent use of core service features.

3. Other requested features

The interface may locally store working settings, replay state or the last selected location. The mobile app also uses local files for flight recording, offline data, pending synchronisation and secure authentication. Retention depends on task completion, clearing data or uninstalling the app.

4. External services

Opening a map, Google sign-in or Stripe Checkout may connect directly to that provider, which receives technical information and may use its own storage according to its function and policies. See the Providers page for details and links.

XCInsight currently deploys no first-party advertising or behavioural analytics cookies. Any future optional tracking requiring consent must remain off until you choose to enable it.

5. Device controls

You can clear or block storage in browser and app settings. Clearing a session signs you out; clearing mobile data can delete unsynchronised flights and offline resources.
